Perhaps because whatever gravity physics need the relative zero
gravity environment and its zero delta-V of Selene L1, that which our
NASA can't seem to master or give a puck about their ever doing squat.

Usually they have too much at risk, especially pertaining to our DARPA
and NASA/Apollo era that still (even with LRO) doesn't add up.

What can be easily interpreted about the planet Venus is just running
into another firewall or extension of the same old-guard protectionism
that doesn't want the public to know what's there.
