That's about ten fold bigger mass than the original Betelgeuse of 27+
Ms.

So why has this super-massive star survived for so long without having
gone through all the usual main sequences of becoming a massive white
dwarf before turning unto an impressive neutron star?

I mean, how screwed up is astrophysics?
