I hated that song because I only saw it on MTV.  I hated it because of the 
video.  However years later (within the last 5 years) I bought a "Greatest 
Hits of the 80's" type CD that had the song on it.  Listening to it on the 
CD player without the having to see the video, I realized that it was really 
a kickass song.  It is now one of my favorites.  I even like watching the 
video from time to time out of nostalgia for my youth.
