A number of witnesses saw and filmed a UFO in Kunming on 15 March at 7:30pm.
The event took place in the 'Golden Temple' district of the city. The UFO
consisted of a number of fluorescent Blue lights that one by one joined up
to form a circle before vanishing.
The witnesses who managed to film the event on their mobile telephone
cameras approached the famous Purple Mountain Astronomical Observatory in
Nanjing. The astronomers called in Yifang Zhang, a former physics professor
and the president of the Kunming UFO association, to assist them in
analysing the footage.
Yifang Zhang concluded that the object could not be a plane or a kite and
must be declared a UFO. Astronomers working within Purple Mountain
Observatory agreed that the object is a UFO however noted that this does not
make it an alien craft: Adding that Mr Zhang has a tendency to jump to that
conclusion.
Interestingly, although the video footage of the UFO has not been released,
the photo seen above shows an object identical to one seen in a number of
videos shot throughout the world (see video below). Whenever this type of
UFO does show up on the Internet in a video clip we are assured by anonymous
posters of comments that this is known to be a CGI fake and they even know
who created it. Any attempt to argue with these posters, by viewers, often
results in them getting rather aggressive in getting their "opinion" across.
