< CAMBRIDGE, England (Rueters) --
Sorry, folks, The Great Debate has been
canceled.
<
It would've pitted one Ed Conrad
against the great Stephen Hawking, the
world-famous theoretical physicist and
cosmologist, to answer the time-honored
question: IS THERE A GOD?
<
The TV debate had been scheduled
as a two-hour special on Piers Morgan
Live for 9 p.m. July 4 but now, sadly,
it's NO GO.
<
Piers has revealed that Hawking,
in a telephone message from the U.K.
this morning, apparently has finally
come to his senses and agrees THERE
IS A GOD, AFTER ALL.
<
Here's the telephonic message that
Pierre found on his answering machine.

<
Th<erefore, the debate would be useless
si<<nce Steve and Ed are now on the same
wave length, with Ed obviously the
winner and still champion.
