Let's begin at the beginning. You can run setiathome with freebsd and a
minumum install. I am trying to figure out how to do that very thing.
I have 8 PPro running FreeBSD with distributed.net as of now and they
all have 2 gig hard drives. What I did was do a minimum install,
install the sources and ports. Recompiled the kernel, you will have to
add option COMPAT_AOUT to run setiathome, the go to the ports tree and
make install in the setiathome directory of the astro port section. If
you have any more questions, maybe we can figure it out.
