Thanks!  That did the trick.  It's not exactly what I was looking for but
it's a lot better than running it in a terminal window all the time.

Does anyone know of a GUI frontend for Seti that works in Mandrake 9.1.
I've tried several packages (can't remember them all now) but none of
them seems to work in Mdk 9.1.  I'm looking for something that lives
happily in Gnome as that's my prefered graphical environment.
