Or rather don't waste the electricity and your time!
However, that's an ideal machine for playing with a non-gui version of
Linux to have a play with Linux and command consoles. Should give a good
introduction to 'Real' computing. A bit like dos but with vastly greater
functionality. You could then use that box as a dedicated
firewall/router/mailbox/ whatever-other-services you want.
Alternatively, its completely underpowered to suffer WinXP, and a little
slow even for Linux desktops. It would work, but it would give you a bad
impression. However, its ideal for playing with command consoles.
Or: Put linux on a seperate partition on your faster machine, dual boot,
and have a play!
BTW: Fastest is Linux with the windows 'nt' client running via WINE.
(WINE is an environment that mimics Windoze.)
