Yep, it's on SMP Kernel, and already configured to absolutely minmum.
(I think I use like ~250MB of that 60GB Harddrive I had lying around ;)

Currently, this Linux dual 2000+ System comes in at about 20 Minutes slower than the
Win2000 dual 1700+, hence my disappointment :(
That observation is based off 0.426 AR Units, which went through in 4h59m so far.
I know that's about worst-case Angle Range for Linux, but still slower than what I
expected.

SETIwatch MFlops indication is mostly ~ 20-30MFlops slower than the 'competing' Windows
dual machine.

I might tweak it by running the RAM on Shake&Bake timings though (I left the Twinmos
PC3200 on Auto for a start).
Maybe that will help a bit, but I don't expect too much...

Anyway, good to hear that the affinity is not missing, and the Kernel works it out by
itself :)

I'll leave it running or a few days.
(after it took so long to setup, and I even managed to use the completely insane Console
Text Editor "vi" successfully, which is more complex to use all by itself than managing an
entire Windows Cluster :p )
So I'll will give it a chance since I'm tired of working on it anyway *g*

If performance does not come up at least 10% though, I'll have to abandon my Linux goals.
(with Windows licenses readily available, and day after day of frustrating setbacks, you
cannot imagine 'how' tempting it was already ;) )

One way or another, this thing was planned to, and has to become my new Flagship.
I hate shiny new Flagships running slower than the old ones ;)

Greetings
*on post-Linux trauma therapy soon* ;)
