SpyBot finds a lot of stuff ,maybe too much as it reports all cookies it
seems.  Ad-aware is free too for personal use.

I run SpyBot and Ad-aware, it keeps the junk to a minimum.  Along with
Norton SystemWorks (Virus) with the free online virus checkers at Symantec
and Trend Micro, it keeps the old 98SE system in good health.  A Linksys
firewall router/hub also to keep my network free of incoming attacks. Not
protected against outgoing traffic but the other software keeps me free of
malware I think.

I would suggest you also go get SPYBOT, which is a really nice FREEWARE
program that will let you find and delete spyware that might be doing that
as well.  It found a ton of stuff on my machine that I had no idea was
there.
