Hi all,
I bought new PC as server with 2,4 Pentium4, 512MB, 80GB etc. and run
seti comandline version on it with setispy. I now reach the average time
to crunch unit over 4 hours which seems to too much to me. On Acer
notebook with 1,7Celeron the unit takes about 3:20.
I have a 2.2 Ghz Celeron, 384 Mb Ram, it takes 11.5 hours per WU.
I have s@h running in the background, and I am usually got several
applications running. The screen saver also displays the graph when
it comes on.
However, even if I wasn't running anything other than s@h, and the
screensaver is disabled, there doesn't seem to be much improvement!
How can a 1.7 Celeron do it at 1/3 the time of my 2.2 Celeron??
