Thankz for all the replies.
I understand now.
I installed AVG antivirus on my friend's machine and AVG discovered
the viral infection.

One of the reasons is likely, that the SETI Executable is frequently running, thus drawing
any Virus'es/Worm's attention to it.
It's merely at a higher risk of getting infected that way, just as any other, frequently
launched application on an infected machine.
There's definitely no specific Klez&Seti connection.
PS.
On a number of friend's machines that I had to manually clean of Klez, the most often Used
Programs were all infected (e.g. Office Products, Autostart programs etc.)
