Because the virus has been activated by your unprotected friend, and it
has attacked the S@h executable. That's the way the original variant
of viruses worked - by attaching itself to the start-up of some commonly
used executable ti would be fired up time after time by the unsuspecting
user, ready to re-infect any new programs, or floppy disks.
