If this is a hyperthreading p4 and you are using xp pro or w2k pro,
enable hyperthreading in the BIOS, set up the OS for dual processing and
run 2 instances. CPU time for each WU will be higher than than just
running one instance with uniprocessor setup but you will be getting
more throughput, maybe as much as 20% more (ie: more WU in a particular
24 period will be processed). Even though each unit takes more CPU
time, you will be running 2 simultaneously.

Hi,
Ive just built myself a new PC, its a P4 2.4C with 2gb DDR400 ram, what
sort of times should I be getting? Would it be more efficent to run 2
instances of seti? With just running 1 instance of seti im seeing times of
about 3hrs on the dot.
