It's overheating; either your HSF is inadequate (almost guaranteed if
you reused the one from the 950) or it's not properly installed.
My rule of thumb is to use the biggest HS with the highest volume F that
can be reasonably purchased (my limit is $35 for a solid copper HS and
35CFM fan, the GlobalWin CAK-38 II) and will fit your motherboard. I've
even modified heatsinks with a grinder so they would clear capacitors.

Well, I'm getting pretty convinced that might be the case. I'm using
Falcon Rock II HSF, and have added a couple of fans blowing the hot air
out of the case. I'm using PC Alert III temperature monitor, and it
indicates temperature of about 57�C. Seeing that the cold weather is on
the way, I just might open the case, but I'll definitely consider buying
a new HSF. Thanks Gary, and thanks Nick.
57C isn't that bad under full load actually but if you check the temperature
right at the start of a work unit you may find it's quite a lot higher than
that...
