I was just checking the Seti Spy web site for updates and I found this:
"9/7/2003: I got my new liver! Yes, it finally happened! I got called in for
my liver transplant on September 3. Everything went as planned with the
surgery (thank goodness, I don't remember anything about it!) and I am
recuperating in St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. According to my
doctors I am making really good progress. More from me later!
Hi everyone,
I'm just popping in to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has
supported me getting a new liver through their words of encouragement,
kind wishes, and donations.
It's good to see you posting; glad things are going well.
As Gary posted, I am making good progress
and hope to be released from hospital this week. [ ... ]
Actually, I didn't make the initial post; BW <noone@nowhere.com> did. I
merely followed up to his post with a supportive comment, and requested
a link to your web site, which you provided--thanks!
A friend of mine received a kidney transplant earlier this year. She's
still not completely recovered, and it's been four to five months. Don't
get too frustrated at it taking a long time, just make it steady progress.
Good luck in your path to a full recovery;
Gary
