Thanks for the reply Mike,

I am logged on as administrator (win2k pro o/s, fully up to date sp etc
wise). This only seems to have started to happen in the last few days. This
morning, before going to work, I exited from setidriver as usual, then shut
the system down. When I rebooted the machine just now and restarted
setidriver, it displayed 86.27% complete (as just before exit) then, after
about 5 seconds, it suddenly went back to zero and started from scratch.

I have full permissions on the setidriver directory, where the processing is
done and all subdirectories.

The weird thing is that I have another, heavy duty, laptop with a P4 2.8 in
it running XP which behaves perfectly normally using the identical setup.
Apart from the fact that it is a pig and I so wish I'd bought a nice light
Centrino l/t instead. :(

I've just downloaded the current versions of seti driver (3.6.4) and seti
spy (3.3.3)(great news about Roelof isn't it?) and installed them, but just
clutching at straws.

Regards

M

This is an indication that the SAH files aren't being updated properly by
the client. Check your security settings on the hard drive and the SETI
Driver folder, ensuring you have full access (or at least "modify") access
to these folders and files. Also, to confirm the WU number, clear the
SETI
Driver "Hide Processing" checkbox and save the SETI Driver configuration.

I have a PIII/1.2GHz laptop that I do some processing of SETI units on.,
along with other things. I shut it down to transport it about. I run it,
along with a couple of other machines, through a SetiQueue server. I
have
the obvious proxy settings and auto transmit ticked as well. The last
couple
of times that I have restarted it after a shutdown, the partially
completed
unit that it was processing has resumed at 0% - i.e. from the beginning.
It
has just done this on a unit that was over 70% complete. this is with
cli
3.03, SetiDriver 1.6.3.6 and a queue size of 5.

Does anyone know of a possible cause? should I turn off auto transmit?

TIA

M
