I started running seti@home 3 days ago after the first 13 hours I had 8
units from 4 machines to be honest I was slightly disapponted with those
results. So I started doing some research. And realised that It is lack of
knowledge of the software on my part. So i am going to list what I have and
what I am looking for and see if i can get some help from here. currently I
am running 3 screensaver versions with seti spy only. I have already turned
screensaver off and have it running in the background at all times. The 4th
machine is a linux machine only running the command line version. I have
attempted to run command line on the 3 windows machines and could not get
seti spy to work with them. Nor was I able to get the seti driver program to
work on any machine (again im sure it is my fault). following are system
specs.

all are hooked to the net 24/7 via cable modem

system specs
main 1.2 ghz amd t-bird
512 Meg ram
win xp

second
Laptop
1.8 ghz intel p4 mobile
512 Meg ram
win xp

third
800 mhz amd
768 Meg ram
win xp

4th machine
linux
taking offline so wont list

this is what I am wanting to do.

would like to get the fastest version of seti running cmd line or
screensaver version does not matter.I would like to get any addons i need to
help speed up process. I can create a ram drive if it will help. The part im
not sure if it can be done but would like to have done. I would like to have
all the seti spy programs (or any program similar) to talk to one another so
that I only need to look at 1 of them to see the results for all of them and
have 1 map that has all of the points marked instead of having some points
marked on each map. (this may be tricky as the laptop goes back and forth to
work with me bust is online both places)

Would anyone mind holding my hand and walking me through it.
Also what is considered a good Canadite is it done by there score or what ?
