Hello guys!
I was trying to write a paper on "seti" in my language .... Right now,
I'm having trouble pronouncing the words "Arecibo" and "Parkes". Can
you please help me regarding this?
"Arecibo" ---> Arkibo
Arecibo is in Puerto Rico where they speak Spanish and is more pronounced
like Aresibo since in latin america the "c" (in front of "e" or "i")
and the "z" are pronounced like an "s"
"Parkes" -----> Par' kes
This one being in Australia where they speak english (don't tell the brits
I said that ;o) would probably be pronounced like "Parks"
So I would summarize it as
"Arecibo" ---> Aresibo
"Parkes" ---> Parks
