Someone on my team just asked if there was a way around
shutting down
Windows 98 without having to close SETI first. I know I've seen
a work
around for that but I can't for the life of me remember what it
was.
Could one of you please help me past this C-Nile moment....

Thanx,
curt

The easiest way is to go to C:\windows\system and look for the
file called "conagent..exe".
Copy it to the folder containing your SETI client.
Right click on the file you just copied and click "Properties"
Click the Misc. Tab and uncheck the box that says "Warn if still
active"

That should do it
