Ok unsure if this has been asked before but sure it will make a semi
interesting thread.

What hardware and OS do you use and what version of the client software? And
any good tips you found work well. Myself;

Dell Poweredge 4100/200 Dual Pentium Pro 200 445MB RAM Linux Madduck 9.1 CLI
Seti version.
Clone PC, Pentium 2 300MHz 192 MB RAM Linux based firewall (IPCOP) CLI Seti
version. [...]

I built this system out of inexpensive parts and used quite few components from my older computers. I am planning on a major upgrade in a few weeks and hope to cut my WU times down significantly. Currently running about 7 hours for an average WU.

AMD Duron overclocked to 1100 MHz
Gigabyte 7ZXR mobo VIA VT8363 KT133 chipset
320 MB SDRam
Easy SETI@Home CLI 3.08 (04.15.2003)
SETI Driver 1.6.4.0
Windows  4.90.3000
