Yep... Also, mine will get worse when I go for water
cooling on the next upgrade
Why..?
For the higher amperage CPU and all the other extra bits
I'll be hanging off it! The older bits may well be kept
in service also...
Naff all Wattage really - if you upgrade to a 17" LCD at
the same time then your overall power usage for computing
will plummet..! Quite affordable now

I'm still fond of CRTs for their higher pixel resolutions.
I'm one for having multiple documents open, or for large
listings/diagrams, and get very out of patience if I'm
forced to look at a 'small part of the picture' and
forever scrolling around.

Must investigate multiple monitors ...
ATI <http://www.ati.com> has several dual head video cards ...
Radeon 9600, Radeon 9500 PRO, Radeon 9200, Radeon 9000 PRO,
Radeon 8500, Radeon 7500, Radeon 7000, Radeon 7000 IGP,
and Radeon VE.
Be sure to choose one that supports 2 VGA monitors -- some
of those models support 1 VGA and 1 TV; some have 2 VGA ports,
some have 3 ports: VGA, VGA, TV but ONLY 2 can be active.
If the two monitors will be side by side, you will want to
be sure that both monitors have built-in magnetic shields.
Could well go for one or more of the LCDs/TFTs as their
price continues to drop or if the resolutions increase.
They are rather nice for being less bulky and less waste
heat generating than the CRTs. The dead pixels bit with
them though is a bummer.
