Well I took a larger sample of work units from one of the four ocurancences
of SETI that run on the dual hyper-threaded machine.
BTW: You could only run one occurrence of the screen saver version at a
time. I haven't used the screen saver in years...

60 WU's

Fastest 3.764
Slowest 6.705

Average 5.6 hours per 4 work units

Effectively 2.8 hours per WU per CPU
Effectively 1.4 hours per WU from this machine

The Notebook has a MOBILE 3.06 Ghz processor, that means NO
hyper-threading...

Are you using the screen saver version?

Most of the information I find on line does NOT correspond with my real

BTW: I have crunched & returned 11806 work units since the beginning of
2001 with 12 or 15 (1-3 at any given time) different personal Intel
computers...

My two newest machines are:

My Intel dual Xeon 2 GHz Hyperthread enabled machine does 4 at the same
time
in between 5.8 to 6.3 hours each that is about 16 per day.
1024 Meg DDR RAM
400 Mhz front side bus

My Intel 3.06 GHz notebook does one every 2-2.6 hours about 10 per day.
512 Meg DDR RAM
533 Mhz front side bus
