Are you behind a firewall??

Assuming you are the admin for the system...

Look up using SetiQueue. Then use one s@h client to directly connect to the s@h server to set up your user account. Thereafter, use the SetiQueue machine as proxy. If you copy the user_info.sah to your other client machines, then you don't even have to do the 'logon' dance. (You can run s@h on your SetiQueue proxy server also.)

There are _lots_ of details about this on the web.

Another 'add-on' to look at is SetiSpy, and there's many others.

All the above works whether you use the graphical screen saver, or the faster text CLI client.

The present s@h is likely to continue for a month or few until BOINC is up and running.
