This sucks I jsut started seti and now I am going to have to start all over.
And I am gonna miss my Maps from seti spy. Although I do wonder what all
projects bonic will provide.
What bothers me is something a little more fundamental:
"BOINC makes it possible for us to release new versions of SETI@home
without requiring you to download and install new software."
Grrreat. So I have to hand over my flops to a modules which they
distribute at will?
I'm sorry, but NO WAY. I want to be able to choose when/if I switch
versions. I want to see the general discussion about the acceptability
and/or vulnerability of any given project release before it goes on my
machines. If that's not within my control, then they are going to lose
my machine resources, tiny drop in the ocean though they may be.
So when S@h ("Classic", ooh baby...) gets turned off, that's it. Good
Night, Vienna.
