If you want an easy install, go try Mandrake.  Or Lycoris.  Or Lindows.  Or Xandros.  Or LibraNet.

They're all very very simple to install.  Easier to install than MS Office.  As easy to install as AOL.


When I install machines it take me about 25-30 minutes to have a fully running Linux box, with email, web browsing, office apps all running.

To do the same box under Windows takes around three hours.  And I would consider myself very experienced iat installing windows, and only marginally experienced at installing Linux.

It used to be hard, but it isn't any more...
