In article <3f903568$1@news.alphalink.com.au>, CTB says...
I recently installed seti 3.08 (the first time I've ever used seti). It
appears to run as normal, but it uses 100% of my CPU power constantly. I am
using a slightly overclocked athlon 2800+, and I don't particularly like the
idea of it running at 100% without a break for long periods of time - is
there a way I can rememdy this?
Remedy what?
The whole idea is that it runs 100%.
I was running seti for 5 months 24/7 on xp1700+@2200+ even when the
room temp. was over 30°C. The CPU temperature never went over 55°C which
is FAR from dangerous. Colder days, like today, i get 40°C.
