Do you plan, for the BOINC system, a new "BOINC-Gate" proxy that can
handle multiple cache queues at proxy level, and can perform
import/export of data and upgraded clients ?
I think that a program like this may be more complex of SetiGate, it
must handle also the automatic client upgrade. But I think it's not
impossible to develop. A "BOINC-Gate" program will be essential to
continue to use the many CPUs that are on off-line lan, I use SetiGate
to do this from many years (at now more of 53000 WU, 73 years CPU
time) and I like continue with BOINC, but I think I'll must stop all
off-line CPUs without a "BOINC-Gate" proxy.
If you decide to develop a program like BOINC-Gate, naturally I'm
available to be a beta tester.
About the usefulness of a BOINC-Gate program: see my post to Karl
Chen.

Alessandro

Ian,
With BOINC, SetiGate will become obsolete in about a month so I won't make any
big changes anymore.

Ron,
Been using SetiGate for ages and find it works very well, would it be
possible to make the console switch more accessible. Currently you have to
edit the user account etc.
Thanks

Hi all,
I have built a new SetiGate version (1.95). You can download it from my
site
http://home.wanadoo.nl/rongrooteman/seti/.
I rewrote the code that manages the icon in the system tray. When The
explorer
crashes
the icon will be reinstalled rather than losing it. Have fun and keep
crunching.... :-)
