Well, I've reached my personal target so I'm giving it a rest, I've been
"At it," since virtually day one. My first WU's were done by the GUI version
(fascinating to watch....at first), using a K6-2/300, around 27 hours per
unit, then onto the CLI version, down to 21 hours(ish). I then got involved
with o'clocking, very frustrating, and expensive times. I managed to push a
Celeron 600 to 1025 completing approx 3 units every 24 hours, and moving
rapidly up the charts, I then started to build another machine for the
grandchildren (or was it for Seti?) out of all the bits, and pieces I was
starting to accumulate, anyway to cut a long story short, I finished up with
two 1800XP machines, and a 2000XP, crunching 18 units per day.
Many thanks to all of you who gave me support in the beginning, also to
Setigate for keeping me supplied with WU's.
Regards, Tony Holden.
