This may sound stupid but whats the point in the command line version for
windows?

Does it process workunits faster due to no graphics or am i just
completley
missing the point?

In case you hadn't guessed i'm new to seti :-)

Welcome to SETI@Home.

The command line version is faster. If you want to crunch as many work units
as possible you should use the CLI version. If want a cool screensaver you
should use the GUI version.

Anyway, the software will soon change to the new "BOINC" version.
