no, but I know how to fix it ;o)
first, copy the file "user_info.sah" from the SETIDriver root directory
into the directories with the "messed up" returns.
Then open the "user_info.sah" with wordpad and the "result.sah" in each
folder that has the "messed up" returns and replace the following info
result.sah user_info.sah
----------- -------------
user_id=0 with the number from id=xxxxxxx
user_key=-1 with the number from key=yyyyyyyy
and then just hit the [Transmit] button in SETIDriver
Robi,
[I rearranged the sentences so I could reply in a sequential way - sorry]
I have been running for 5 years, with a newly installed 3.03
and with a new 3.08 ( d/loaded yesterday ) client all complete the units but
when returning they just sit there with NO error messages.
I think this could "screw-up" a result
I have been trying for the last 3 days to send units from this machine have
tried with ksetispy, ksetiwatch and from the commandline with the old
setiathome 3.03
I know, I have been following the threads :(
What happens if you install a new one that has the correct keys and still
won`t return?
a new one "what"? a new user_info.sah file? a new SETI client? a new ksetispy?
I don't know how ksetispy handles the cache, but the way Mike handles it with
SETIDriver it's simple and straightforward :)
If you install a new (different) client, the WU currently being analyzed is
paired with the old client, as are results waiting to be returned to cause no
corruption in the result.
What do you do if even after changing the keys it still won`t return them?
were the keys in the user_info.sah file correct?
<insert from the other thread>
Latest episode in the never ending saga for anyone still here :)
Have finished a unit on troubled machine, zipped it up, moved it to other
machine placed in cache and lo and behold it is sent, so it is something on
my machine that is stopping the uploads.
</insert>
can you compare the user_info.sah files and see if there is any difference?
can you compare the results.sah headers in the working/non working setups?
I do the initial reg and unit d/load with the cli so that I get the id strings
correct.
with this I suppose you mean "login to an already existing account" entering your
e-mail address.
[rest snipped]
Sorry about all the trouble you're having
On my Wife's PC I had fixed it the way I explained it, of course, our setups are
the same and we both have Win[me/XP] machines (I wish I had a linux box somewhere)
