Hello everyone!
I have access to 2 systems, one running Windows 98 with the graphical version of seti@home (version 3.08) and another one running GNU-Linux, but this last system _isn't_connected_ to the web.
I'we downloaded and installed the Linux version of the client.
But now, how to download some data to crunch with my Linux system?
And how to send it back when finished?
Is there some program useful?
Thanks
Gerry

Your only hope is to run the WinNT client under wine on the linux box. However, you will have to be able to mount a floppy with a fat file system to transfer the data to your Win98 machine, and allow a WinNT client on the Win98 machine to do the transfers.

If you don't understand all that then you might not want to even try it.

Good luck

I'll try, and since the version for win98 runs ok with wine, I guess that it should work.
But are you sure it isn't possible to pass a wu from the winNT version of seti@home to the linux version and vice versa?
(or from the win98 version... no I think not!)
thank you
Gerry
