There's crossover cable and two NICs, or you could put a modem in it, or connect it with a Parrallel port and PLIP, or wifi, or irda...

Or for _really_ cheap... Connect between two serial ports with a cross-over serial cable (the old DOS interlink style) or with a serial cable and null modem. Make the connection via SLIP!

And then there is also such as zmodem...


Or for high user cost, you could use the RFC Avian protocols transported over floppy disks.
