Nope, right group, not enough info in the first message :)
this is in regards to the seti client running on these type of machines.
it downloads WUs, but exits with "program corrupted" when it's done
processing the WU.

I have been getting "program corrupted" errors under solaris 2.6 and
2.8.
I've tried using direct connects and proxys, but the result is the
same. It gets and crunches the blocks, but craps out when sending
results. I have had this problem on Sun 420R/480/E4500/E5500/E6500
under 2.6 and 2.8.
The kicker is it all worked a year ago. Any ideas what could be
happening? I'll try anything at this point.
Some thing tells me friend, that you have sent this message to the run
news group, please try again. :-P
Ok, fair enough, that is what I thought it was, just wasn't sure. What
version of seti are you running? there are so many now, and as for a
corrupted file.. did you try differnet mirrors, and possibly ones not
with seti itself? It would be odd though that the fle comes in
corrupted. Possible missing new files for other parts of your system.
With my linux box I had a zillion and two dependices that I needed to
fill for seti to "correctly run" (I didn't say it really worked, but it ran)
~Hope this is a help, I don't use solaris often except for my java
class labs.
