efficient).  ((and...it eats up resources when people are using the
pc.))

You could try running SETI as a system service.  It will need to be manually started, and run once, but should then be fine.

SETI Queue running on a WinBox somewhere would also be a great addition, to allow you to keep track of all those lovely boxes.
