Excuss the top post but what is mentioned in the link is a default.pif that
allows the cli to close when windows is shut down there are no indicators
except a new pif file in the system directory.

Does it keep a "window" open or does it just run in the background quietly
?

| You can install a service on Win 98 and ME as well. In fact it's easier
| under 98 & ME. If you do it this way, download default.zip from
| www.wakeassoc.com/setidriver/default.zip and expand it. It contains a
| global change to windows to allow command line programs to exit when
windows
| shuts down.
