I was wondering what the actual processes that were used

Try www.google.com
Both algorithms are very well documented and researched.
Discussion found on the RSA site ...
http://www.rsasecurity.com/rsalabs/faq/3-6-6.html
Quoting from that page, "Description and source code for the
three algorithms can be found as Internet RFCs 1319-1321 ... ."
Here is the RFC for MD5 ...
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1321.txt
I have been trying to make a type of file verifying index
for CSV files and came up with a system that multiplies the
bytes in the file with their position in the file. I had
to make my own STRING adder to be sure it could handle what
ever values it all added up tom though.
MD5 uses these logical functions: AND, OR, XOR, and NOT.
Why?
Good luck,
Martin
