Try setting your windows screen saver to S@H via the control panel desktop
interface (right click on an empty spot of the desktop and select properties
to get there).

If I run the S@H application (system tray) at startup (or manually),
so the 'green dish' is in the tray, the 'screensaver' works properly.
If I exit the 'green-dish' application, the 'screensaver' flashes and
exits. Isn't it supposed to start the 'green-dish' application when
it's not open automagically?
If I understand you correctly... if you have your screensaver set to s@h,
it will come on no matter if you turn it off. I think that's what you are
asking...
