Note that Wine is truely not an emulator. Wine uses native code to
implement a certain set of API calls and stuff.
The overhead might even be less than the original Windoze it reimplements.

Same story here. I have about 12GB of my 20GB drive in NTFS form... all
stuck, not being used save once every other month or so. One of these
days I'll get rid of it, replacing it with a nice ReiserFS partition...
ReiserFS is rather good...
Using it here on all partitions apart from the old Windoze bits.
Mandrake 9.1 Linux
Wait until you get away from Mandrake.... :-)
I started off with Mandrake and finally found myself forced to use
Slackware. I haven't looked back since.
Mmmm... Another thread perhaps as to why...
