I need some help with SetiGate if anyone can...
I am using it to distribute WU's to computers on my home network. I have no
problem putting it on each Winblows box and writing batch files to export
and copy results all to one computer (and likewise distributing exported
WU's), however, I have several boxes that I am interested in putting XNIX on
and SetiGate doesn't work with XNIX OS's. I need to now how to set up
SetiGate as a proxy server to distribute WU's to ANY SETI box on the
network. I tried just doing the IP address : port (eg 123.456.78.9: 1234)
but this did not work. Also, as expected NetBIOS names wouldn't resolve
either. Do I HAVE to download proxy server or routing software to set this
up? If so, are there any good free ones that would work for this? I only
want to route the SETI WU's, no Internet traffic. Each computer has its own
dialup connection to the net.
