If others have more and faster PCs, they will catch up and pass you. 

What is the total number of WUs you have? 

I have just reached 25,000....but I have been slipping from 3,199th place a
year ago to my current 3,606th place.

Looks like 40 WUs/day is well behind the pace in the top 4,000.
