KSetiSpy caches units, I *think* ... I usually try to stay away from KDE
as much as possible, but you said you're on Mandrake 9.2, so I'm
guessing you're probably in KDE most of the time. :-)
I, personally, like jsetidoor, but I use that to cache for my entire
LAN. There's no reason you couldn't use it just on your non-connected
laptop, though.
i tried lin-seti-0.7.6 but gave it a miss after it segfaulted on the first
run.
That's no good. I haven't heard of lin-seti before. I'm emerging it on
my Gentoo system right now to check it out... until then...
Did you build it from source or did you install an RPM for it? If you
installed an RPM, I'd try building it from source so it links properly
against all your current libraries.
If you built it from source and it still seg faulted, there's something
fishy going on, and my guess is it's some Mandrake-altered bleeding-edge
library lin-seti links against.
Ok, it finished emerging. It only links against libc and ld-linux, so
if it *is* a bleeding-edge library problem, I'd be a bit shocked and
really dissapointed in Mandrake. :-)
rob@dell rob $ lin-seti
lin-seti version 0.7.6...
Using "eng" language file.
Cache path: "/opt/setiathome/cache".
Seti client: "/opt/setiathome/setiathome".
Program id to use in cache: "lin-seti".
The are no wus available for analysis...
So... no seg faults here! :-)
