KSetiSpy caches units, I *think* ... I usually try to stay away from KDE as much as possible, but you said you're on Mandrake 9.2, so I'm guessing you're probably in KDE most of the time.  :-)

I, personally, like jsetidoor, but I use that to cache for my entire LAN.  There's no reason you couldn't use it just on your non-connected laptop, though.
