I've been looking at some stats from seti and there are a lot of users
who haven't completed a WU in the last two-three years!
Why aren't they deleted (especially in the user zone: groups) to keep
a clean overall picture of currently active groups?

And I found an old account of mine (never used) and want to delete it,
how can I do this???

You cannot delete accounts.

Maybe a stupid question but why not? There are probably thousands of
accounts that are never used, why not delete them?

And the term "active user" is one that has
returned a result in the last xxxx days. I *think* xxxx is 30 days now?
Someone will give you the correct value, but the point is, the stats using
"active" users are relatively accurate.

OK. But lets look at a group like on:
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/stats/team/team_a_0_1.html
there are a lot of groups (like #3) that have no members, no results,
nothing! Why not disband these groups automatically?!
If you'll ask me: "the last man (or woman) to leave turns off the light"
:-)
