I have a small network, well two PCs, both running 24/7 and both running
the SETI CLI under Win2k. Is there any great advantage in running any
workunit caching programs, and if so, which ones?
In addition, I'd appreciate comments on running SETI as a service. I
tried it and seemed to get no end of problems if the server couldn't
dish out new units - the service stopped and wouldn't restart.
Now I run the CLIs in a batch script which loops back to start over if
the client turns its toes up. This seems to work fine, but I'd love to
know if it's possible to start the client in this way, before loggin' in.
On a side note, I just checked my stats and realised that I'm in the top 2%:
