Errrr... With his Hex anthill and Wizzardry, would he be distracting
himself here?...

You say that as if distracting himself from his writing is a bad thing.

Not really, although he has commented that he's never had so much fun as
while writing the Disc World.

Well I hope he's had as much fun writing it as I've had reading it.

And then... There may be a new Distributed Hex, or a SETI visitation, or
a new Wizzardly simulation sphere of our meagre assumed existance... Is
the Disc World somehow becoming unbalanced with great intregue and
amusing doings (and another book or two) required to keep a'Tuin and all
going swimmingly???

Distributed Hex sounds nice...

"Employ your anthill, don't let it sit around idle all day long! Get a
bunch of tubes and punchcards from your local retailer and we'll send you
complete instructions how to make it work. Pigeon included! (to send the
results and get new tasks).

P.S. The GUI version (which you get by digging a hole next to the anthill
and puting up a glass window) will considerably slow down your processing
time due to the ants not being able to go to the bathroom since they are
being watched (all worker ants are female) so we recommend using the CLI
version.
