I hit 5000 Work Units this week. Here is a history of how it
happened...
The first 400 were done with the screensaver on my 300 MHz Pentium II.
The next 3100 were done with SetiDriver and (of course) the CLI version
on the same computer.
The final 1500 were done with my original computer and my new baby... a
3GHz Pentium 4. Running SetiDriver on both and SetiQueue on one.
These add-on programs work so well, that for the most part, all I had to
do was to keep my computers running. They did a spendid job.
The real credit goes to Mike Ober (for SetiDriver) and Ken Reneris (for
SetiQueue). I can tell that they have put a lot of effort in their code
by the way it works. I've never seen software run for such a long time
without needing constant tweaking. You both have done a really good
job. The credit for these work units is actually yours!
I've learned a few things from the source for SetiDriver. I want to
thank Mike for making it available.
