I've had 5 laptops running SETI 24/7 for years.
I place something under it to increase airflow.
You can buy coolers that sit under the laptop if needed.
A google search will produce several results.

Just received a Dell Inspiron 7000, 333Mhz, 64 MB RAM, WinXP Pro.
Installed
SETI, SETI Spy & SETI Driver. Noticed after running SETI for a few
minutes,
processor fan came on. I realize that this is probably normal, as SETI
is
processor intensive, but could I damage this laptop running SETI 24/7?
Anyone have any tips for running SETI on laptop? Should I RAMDisk?
Thanks
