FWIW, none of the Dell laptops I've ever checked even *had* sensors. For
that matter, neither have any of the Dell desktops. (The last Dell desktop
I checked, an 8300 series P4, not only doesn't report temperatures, it
doesn't even report voltages to MBM.)
It appears that saving a fraction of a cent per motherboard by omitting a
couple of sensors and a monitoring chip is one way Dell keeps costs down.
This is a large part of why I wouldn't own a Dell if you paid me. =(
