The newer systems are significantly faster where it counts - Floating Point
hardware (FPU) and FSB. SETI is very sensitive to these two parts of the
CPU. Also, if your new machine is HT enabled, you can run two WUs
simultaneously on it. It will cost you about 30 minutes per WU, but your
throughput will increase by 80%.

My new machine (3.0 HGz/800FSB) always reports a TTC of ~3.0 hrs for 2
wu's.
My old machine (P3/450MHz) has been reporting a TTC of 9 - 13 hrs. Why is
there such a variation in the TTC - are there different wu's?
